We had a chance to get away for 10 days to Cancun, and since Tara is here and she can remind me how to Blog, I think I'll put on a few of our pictures we took on the trip (Mom in Seattle, this is for you so you can have a little vacation too)
This was the Hotel deal we got on Travelocity. Not too shabby! 10 days with no cows mooing or 3rd graders looking for justice on the playground. Speaking a little spanish would have helped, but by the time we went around reading the billboards, we kinda figured it out.
This place was called Chitzen-Itza, or something like that, and it was unbelievable HUGE. These stories and history go hand-in-hand with the Book of Mormon. They thought we couldn't know anything about them, so we let them know we've read all about it. Would you like us to tell you some of your history?
On the east side of our windows the sun was rising, and right behind us on a golf course at the end of the day, it was setting and I think...I think... I may like Cancun more than Hawaii.
If you ever have a chance to go there, there's an island off the coast called Isle Moreles, and this little restaurant at the tip, has the ocean on 3 sides with a light, flowery breeze blowing through. There chips and guac are to die for!
This is the place to fork out the big bucks to actually get to do all the things they advertise once you get in. What, water is not included?
I love to take pictures of doors. Cancun has some beautiful homes tucked away in the jungle, surprising you around each corner.
I have to get him out of the country to not think about cows and horses for a second. Although...... this looks a lot like he's thinking hard about something back home.
I think they new what a good lifestyle was even back then. Even if the local sacrificers came by and borrowed a kid or two, I'm sure it was a good life.
It felt like this much fun!

This was the entrance for all royalty into the city courtyard. They'll let anybody in there now who has $5.

We got there early in the morning and it was already getting hot and full of tourists.
The water was crystal blue and I could hardly stand staying out of it.
I can see why they used rocks. I've never seen so many (except in my garden)
I found out underwater cameras take pretty good "outawater" pictures too!

Pics from the official "Vurrell and Iris 2010 Finch Family Reunion"
I'm getting a few pictures in from the reunion this year at the ranch. Kathy and some of her girls showed up with the kids. We are multiplying!

This is Nikki's son Pierce with the pinata` hat. The reunion is always held on the last weekend before the 4th of July celebration.

This is Dawn and Macy. The weather held out for us. We had a talent show, well... an exibition of unusual feats, great food, a night at the big screen, crafts, music, cowboy golf, bunko, more great food and lots of fun. If you send me some of your pictures, I'll post them for us all to see. tamfinch@yahoo.com

Kathy and Destry chowin' down some guack and chips.

This is one of the puppies that held still long enough to take a picture.
They are in their cage next to the creek in the back yard.

Last year a mountain lion and her cub came right up to my porch and drug a puppie off for dinner. They caught them under the bridge where they were living but it was too late for that puppie. I'll keep closer watch on this batch! If you click on the bottom for "Older Posts" you can see more pictures of this litter.

These are the puppies Jip has just had on March 1, 2010. They are at our house in Camp Verde now so people can come and look at them. Jip is happy to be back at work chasing cows.
There are 8 puppies. 3 short haired and 5 long haired. We are keeping 2 for the ranch.

This puppie we're going to have to name Hollywood because she liked to get her picture taken. They are all marked a little differently, some are already shy and some are after all the chow they can get. Sounds just like kids!

Cliff and I were able to go to one of Tyler's football games. GO BEARS! This is Destry's son and lives in Payson with his mom Jamie.

Tylers the smallest dude on the team but dynomite comes in small packages too. They won the games by 2 touchdowns. I don't think I like little guys being able to get hurt this bad but... the pads must work cause it looks like they had a good time and they pay money to do this.
